Carlsberg India’s Alwar brewery recognized at the CII National Award for Excellence in Water Management 2021

We are continuing the winning streak at Water Management Awards, year on year! Claims the title of ‘Noteworthy Water Efficient Unit’ in Within the Fence category.

Carlsberg India's Alwar Brewery has been awarded the prestigious 'CII National Award for Excellence in Water Management 2021' and has been identified as a 'Noteworthy Water Efficient Unit' in 'Within the Fence' Category for Wastewater Reduction, Reuse and Recycle and optimization of natural resources.

At Carlsberg India's breweries, it is our continuous attempts towards improvement of water optimization each time by implementing a fully collaborative commitment approach towards efficient water management in line with our 'Together towards Zero' concept.

The award marks the recognition from CII for the leadership, vision, and efforts by CIPL in establishing path breaking practices in efficient water management. Towards ensuring efficient water management, Alwar brewery has a very robust system in place. The unit is taking measures towards prevention of water pollution, both the ground water and surface water with various state-of-the-art technologies. 

Among around 60 shortlisted candidates, Carlsberg India bagged this coveted award. This objective of the award is to recognize and award excellence in water management in industries and to facilitate sharing of information by excellent water efficient companies. 

Participating companies were evaluated basis a rigorous process of scrutiny of the detailed application, shortlisting, virtual audit, presentation & finally a live interaction with the eminent jury members on a digital platform. The jury boasted big names such as Mr Anil Kakodkar - ex Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission of India & ex Director, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Dr. Sushil Gupta, Former Chairman, Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India, Dr. B. Sengupta, Environmental Scientist who worked with the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), under Ministry of Environment and Forests amongst others.
